History

West Country Office Machines was founded 25 years ago at 37 Spencer St in Bunbury as a Copy Bureau and Small Office Equipment Sales centre with 3 staff.

In 2009 we employ 23 local people and run a fleet of 12 Motor vehicles and service the entire South West from Mandurah to Narrogin to Katanning and through to Pemberton in the South.

For example we offer a 5 year replacement guarantee on all new Canon Photocopiers we sell. This guarantee states that if the machine malfunctions at any time in the first five years of the maintenance agreement, and the fault can not be rectified to the customers’ satisfaction, then a new machine of the same or newer model will be installed at no cost to the customer. Canon Australia underwrite this guarantee and West Country Office Machines have worked hard to attain the service levels that trigger this peerless guarantee.

Services

West Country Office Machines are able to provide Total Imaging and Printing solutions ranging from simple Laser Printers to Wide Format Plan Printers and new Digital Multi Function devices that can Scan documents, Print, Copy and Fax.

We also provide Network Design and Consulting through our IT department who, have MCSE and CCNA certification. They have designed, implemented and cut over large networks from Functional Specifications drawn up in conjunction with the customer.

In the area of connecting Digital Multi Function copiers to Networks we have extensive experience and our blend of Hardware and Network expertise is unique in the South West. We have sourced the premier brands in the Australian marketplace; Canon with 15 Black and White Models and 9 Colour devices, and the newest and most exciting brand in the market Kyocera, with 9 Black and White units and 4 Colour machine.

We have a fully operational digital print bureau which can print anything from A5 flyers through to A0 sized technical drawings in Full colour. Scanning , binding and copying can be professionally produced on site while you wait.

Canon Australia & West Country

West Country Office Machines are Canon’s largest Dealer of Business Imaging Solutions in WA and are in the Top 10 Dealers in Australia with annual sales in excess of $1,000,000. In 1997 and 2008 we were dealer of the year for Canon and have continued to achieve growth and technical expertise over our 25 year association.

Canon Australia has extended to West Country the full suite of Financial packages through Canon Finance Australia. CFA provide West Country with the ability to offer Lease, Rentals and Commercial Hire Purchase at below market rates to our clients. We can customize lease packages to suit budgets and seasonal trends in our customers businesses. As many of these packages attract full Taxation rebates, Financing through West Country and CFA has become the most popular form of acquiring Capital equipment.

West Country Office Machines boast the largest service centre in the South West. We have 8 dedicated Photocopier and Facsimile technicians who have fully stocked vans and company mobile phones provided to ensure constant communications with our Central Service control centre.

Our IT department has 3 service engineers who have extensive experience in Novell and Microsoft platforms. Our Senior Network Engineer has MCSE and CNA certification and our Network Engineer has accreditation with Acer and Kyocera and is undergoing Microsoft Certified Practitioner certification. This investment in technical training has provided our customers with the expertise and advice that you would expect from an Industry leader.

We supply the full range of Acer Servers, Laptops and Workstations and have installed complete networks of Acer products to schools and organizations in the Bunbury and South West region

What can you expect as a customer?

We have invested heavily in the past 24 months in expanding our Technical service team to include 8 Photocopier Technicians, 3 IT technicians and our Telstra trained Telecommunications technician. To support these frontline officers we have implemented an Industry specific Business Management Package that allows us to track clients via Service requests, Accounts requests and preventative maintenance schedules.

You need only ring a local number (9791 3666) to be answered by one of our Service coordinators who will log your request and dispatch a trained technician to deal with your service.

We have separate service coordinators for Photocopier and IT repair to ensure that your call is handled promptly and efficiently. Our computerized service system will track your request and provide our team with real time feedback on response and repair times.

West Country Office Machines and the Community

West Country are pleased to be a member of the vibrant Bunbury Chamber of Commerce and the Leschenault Business Enterprise Centre. We are involved in many of the projects that these bodies organize to promote growth in the region by supporting local businesses. Indeed our Fleet of 12 company vehicles was purchased locally and we have had our new logo designed and signwritten by a Busselton company.

We support Work Experience programmes in conjunction with local schools such as Australind Senior High School, Newton Moore Senior High School and Donnybrook District High School. We provide on the job technical training and exposure to different aspects of working life for students from these Schools.

We have been very active in employing local people and currently have Three employees who began as Trainees with us and have graduated to Full time positions in IT sales, IT service and our Logistics section. We currently have a trainee enrolled in Retail sales through the South West Regional College of TAFE and hope to have full time employment at the end of this Traineeship.

We support many local charities through donations and free loan of Office Equipment. These charities include the Anglican Parish of Carey Park, The Mission to Seaman, The Salvation Army and the Constable Care Community Policing Programme.
